Who Is Junior Clancy?

Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, Junior Clancy grew up loving the weekends when he would ride along with his father in an old Ford pickup, delivering bails of hay and staples to neighboring farms. It was during these rides where Junior got to know Waylon, Willie, and Merle. and his love for music turned into a desire to become a singer.

As he grew into early adulthood, Junior was highly influenced by Lyle Lovett, Kris Kristofferson, Jimmy Webb, and Vince Gill.

He became a very good guitar player and wrote several songs that were very popular locally. He played in a few bands and must have been told a thousand times that he should go to Nashville and make his mark.
